Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) held a retirement ceremony for full-time teachers at the end of February 2025 at 10 a.m. on the 27th (Thursday) at the Songdo Campus Welfare Center Small Theater.

About 100 people, including family members, faculty members, alumni, and students, attended the event to celebrate the retirement of nine people, including Professor Kwon Jung-ho (Department of Social Welfare), Professor Son Ki-yoon (Department of International Trade), Professor Kim Hyung-taek (Department of Material
Science and Engineering), and Professor Park Jung-hoon (Department of Information Telecommunication Engineering).

President Park Jong-tae said, "It is the result of the dedication and enthusiasm shown by professors that our Incheon University is achieving remarkable results every year in research, start-up, and global fields," adding, "Based on this, the university will develop further in the future."

In recognition of its contributions so far, the university awarded a merit plaque to the retired professor and appointed him as an honorary professor. A total of seven teachers were awarded the Okjo Geunjeong Medal and the Geunjeong Medal in recognition of their contribution to the development of public education, including Professor Kwon Jeong-ho.
